We have run a bustling Taproom Bar at our old production brewing site on Summerstown, adjacent to Plough Lane, for over 8 years; however this is all about to change.
As of 10th December 2021 our Taproom Bar concept will relocate to The Phoenix pub located inside AFC Wimbledon’s Cherry Red Records football stadium.
This collaboration will see us operate and run The Phoenix pub 7 days per week and on match-days; and also operate the Speedway Bar, located behind the South Stand, on match-days too.
We will bring our range of beers to The Phoenix pub alongside a selection of cider, spirits, wines & cocktails; introduce an ever changing street food offering 3 days per week, have weekly events, show live sport (and the odd AFC Wimbledon away match) and put our own stamp on the site to create a vibrant yet welcoming feel.
The South Stand Speedway Bar and the service on match-days will be streamlined so that a pre-game, half time or post-game pint of beer or glass of wine will be an enjoyable stress free one.
All of this won’t happen overnight, but by the end of January 2022 all the necessary tweaks will have been made to make this a reality.
On 11th December they will have a soft launch event at The Phoenix with a selection of their beers available, food served by Wandsworth locals MyPie, and live music by the awesome Acoustic House Mafia.
On 18th December 2021 they will launch their newly brewed Crazy Gang Pale Ale 4.2%, an approachable pale ale with light tropical fruit hop notes bursting through, which will be exclusively sold in the stadium.
By The Horns Brewing Co. Co–founder and production director Alex Bull says; “We began our brewery a few hundred meters away so to relocate our Taproom to the home of the Dons just feels like the perfect fit. We are really excited for this collaboration and can’t wait to launch our new Crazy Gang pale ale.”
By The Horns Brewing Co. Co-founder and commercial director Chris Mills says. “We loved every minute of brewing in South London, it’s where we brewed and served our first ever beer back in 2011 and we feel very much part of the furniture there. We are extremely proud to remain part of the local community with this new venture”
