Golden ales can often be underrated, and with the new wave of the ‘Session IPA’ term being used for lower strength American hopped beers, Golden ales can sometimes get forgotten. We wanted to show that a golden ale can be brewed by using a selection of English, North American and New Zealand hops that can create a wonderful fresh hoppy ale on a golden malt body.
Our new brewery site is located very close to Tilgate Park in Crawley, the location where the original Bluebird speedboats were tested by Sir Malcolm Campbell. So what better beer and style to create than this fantastic British Golden Ale we call Blue Bird, a true doth of the cap to a legend.
