Job – Sales Manager / Key Account Manager

Company Overview

Key Duties

You will make new sales and obtain new account wins to grow the brand and achieve targets by:

  • Getting behind By The Horns’ culture and representing the brewery out in the field with existing and new customers
  • Researching and capitalising on new sales opportunities
  • Developing relationships with customers by phone, email and face to face visits.
  • Meeting regularly with Directors & Sales manager to discuss future sales strategies
  • Creating sales reports on brewery specific software
  • Identifying and help implementing staff training & awareness at key accounts
  • Host events at key accounts to engage directly with the consumer on and off the brewery premises

  • Well organised and able to efficiently manage their own time
  • Target driven and able to hit and maintain sales targets
  • Resilient and determined
  • Strong negotiating skills

Requirements

  • Has at least 2 year’s experience in the B2B sales industry within the craft beer industry, ideally that experience has been served in SE England.
  • Proven record of building brand awareness and growing sales revenue.
  • Ideally has existing relationships with potential customers, either direct or wholesale
  • Has an excellent knowledge of the beer and brewing industry.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends as and when the job requires.
  • Right to work in the UK
  • The role will be primarily based at our brewery but will require regular travel around London and South East England.

Diamond Geezer – Red Ale

An autumnal/winter classic which we release every year as a cask ale.

‘Ichi-Go Ichi-E’ – Kasu Rice Lager

This is our thurd collaboration with Kanpai London Craft Sake. This 5.0% rice lager is brewed using rice & super pale malted barley, with Dr. Rudi & Sorachi Ace hops, then fermented with a clean lager yeast.

The Kasu used in this brew was the lees from brewing Kanpai’s Sumi Sake, whereby it was added half way through fermentation which assisted in adding complexity through imparting very unique estery notes.

“Ichi-go Ichi-e” is a Japanese idiom describing the treasuring of an unrepeatable nature of a moment, or loosely translated as a ‘once in a lifetime’ occurrence. We felt this was very apt for such a special collaboration.

Currently only available in 30L kegs and 440ml cans.

Crazy Gang Beer Launch

Being less than 200m away from the new Plough Lane stadium we are launching this Crazy Gang beer to celebrate the return home of Wimbledon’s football club in 2020.

We will be launching our new Crazy Gang beer on the day, offering a 15% discount to all AFC Wimbledon season ticket holders, and also showing the AFC Wimbledons fixture on our Big Screens at 12pm, followed by the England v Bulgaria fixture at 5pm.

Our in house pizza oven will open from 12pm, and we will have live music from 2pm and 7pm.

Our Crazy Gang beer will celebrate the glory days of old & toast the bright new future that awaits. The beer is a Tropical Pale Ale at 4.5%abv, brewed with Calypso and Citra hops with additions of blood orange and grapefruit. The label has been designed by good friend of the brewery and AFC Wimbledon founding member Marc Jones.

Crazy Gang – Tropical Pale Ale

CUKI – Cucumber & Kiwi Saison

A beautiful fresh blend of cucumber with kiwi puree brewed onto a clean malt base of extra pale barley, oats and wheat, hopped with Saaz and Centennial, then fermented with a Belgian Saison yeast strain.

A hugely refreshing saison, yet still brewed with a blend of flavours in mind.

Only currently available in 440ml cans.

We have teamed up with 1PUTT to bring you their second Major golf tournament of the year.
Think social golf with large holes to put into on a 9-hole golf course, with By The Horns beer flowing at on-course bars, with a DJ pumping loud music with a general cracking party atmosphere…..plus there is a golf tournament and prizes to be won!!

The Competition and Format

A team can consist of 3 to 5 players. There are no handicaps. You will play the signature 1PUTT Scramble format which allows every player to hit from the location of your best shot each time. Your team will enter one score per hole. The day will be live scored and you will be able to check live leaderboards as you play. Please ensure at least one member of your team has downloaded the Gamebook app prior to the days play. The top 4 teams will be entered into the Shootout. The Shootout will consist of a semi-final and final. The semi-final will be a nearest the pin competition on our special shootout hole. The final will then consist of a sudden death putt out to crown the champs.

New Beer: BA NA NA

This Wheat Milkshake APA has been brewed with 45% wheat, 10% oats, with lactose in the boil, fermented with a classic Hefeweizen yeast & dry hopped with Summit, Amarillo, Citra & Mosaic hops. Expect tropical hops with that classic banana wheat beer profile shining through.
Available in 440ml can & 30L kegs.

New Beer: SAMURAI SESSION V2.0

Samurai Session V2.0 is the second release of our collaboration with our friends at Kanpai, where We used their sake kasu (the lees from brewing sake) to help ferment this beer. This 2.0 version is in the style of an American Pale Ale with both East & West Coast influences. It is hazy with a smooth mouth feel & dry hopped at 12g/l  offering a juicy aroma, but with the subtle twist of a dry finish & umami notes developing from the sake kasu.
Available in 440ml can & 30L kegs.
This will be served in our Taproom and also in Kanpai Taproom, get it while stock lasts.

New Beer: GIFT OF THE GAB

Our Gift Of The Gab Irish Coffee Milk Stout is back; brewed with lactose, aged on Irish whiskey oak & conditioned with coffee. An unbelievably drinkable milk stout inspired by the classic ‘Irish Coffee’ which is made with whiskey, this beer has a lot going on but in all the right proportions.
Available in 330ml cans and 30L kegs.
